"Art With a View"

Tempe is undoubtedly a city of constant construction. From the 70's with corn fields and a single high school to our present sky-rises and the largest university in the US, Tempe is growing, baby!

So, as my first entry, I thought construction to be an appropriate theme. I especially love the buildings tag-line, "Art with a View."

These are condos, already selling at a starting price of $500,000. They're right in the heart of downtown Mill Ave. This project raises a lot of socio-economic and city policy questions.
Whatever people have to say about it, though, it's a rare case of a parking lot being turned into homes, rather than the other way around."

Nice shot of those cranes! For a while, every time I made my way out to the Ave, I've taken pictures of them. Might as well be the Tempe City bird at this point.

That building keeps getting larger every time that I see it...

I just noticed this post whilst trolling Google for Mill Avenue discussion. So I thought I'd comment.

the californication of arizona is starting to feel just wrong. it would be nice if it were in place of sprawl, but it is 'in addition'

nice photo though.
